A time for rest

by Agnieszka 24. July 2011 04:02

I’ve made the promise to myself to write every day of 2011. Don’t get me wrong …I love to write …It’s like talking with your dear  friend or simply letting your inner child play, by creating and exploring  a new world. Though, some days I am missing the quiet “me”… the one …listening, watching and experiencing in stillness. Writing helps me to define who I am…and its great…but not everything is definable …some things are intuitive, based on emotions… and moments. They are snowflakes, lending its beauty for only a short while, quickly melting and disappearing  ; dreams… waiting to escape through the windows of slowly  opening eyes … like a  butterflies with flattering wings… softly  erasing memories of  stories and people,  leaving  us with a nostalgic feeling of longing, missing…; the days of the past,  moving quietly in the shadows of yesterday..reminding us  of  its rightful place; there are moment of nothingness, threatening time and allowing the journey within…The days , when my logical mind takes a rest and I can just aimlessly  flow between words, pages, tasks  and  live as the string of continuous perception…with no expectations, plans, motives or goals. It’s my time of recharging and strengthening through relaxation, openness, flexibility and many possibilities.  We all need it…or maybe...I need it more than others?  My fantasy world is as real to me, as the one I live in right now….but has no rules and is only bounded by my imagination… When I get tired of its lack of definitions, mutability and flexibility…I begin to miss structure…and here we go again…rollercoaster in full action…never a dull moment.

The Little Prince

"People where you live," the little prince said, "grow five thousand roses in one garden... yet they don't find what they're looking for..."

"They don't find it," I answered.

"And yet what they're looking for could be found in a single rose, or a little water..."

"Of course," I answered.

And the little prince added, "But eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart."
