Our footsteps in time

Monochromatic photographs...don’t you love them?  They remind me of my childhood days…captured in the flash of  memory, displaying forgotten moments, trapped in the dusted pages of yesterdays. Past, future and present, holding hands of the clock are the clever illusionists of time. They compete for our attention, playing a make belief game with our mind. We find ourselves in the constant state of arrival and departure…allowing a very small space, for living in the present. Our mind travels, borrowing time from the future and holding on to the past, in the hope of transcending the perpetual movement of life into a stable and understandable aspect of our reality. Time is not only difficult to understand but also almost impossible to imagine… flowing unevenly at different times and under varied circumstances.

The photographs are the objective witnesses and simple reminders of an inevitable change... the physical presence, validating our memory and “expired” parts of reality. Could we exist simultaneously, in all planes of time?  Sharing the energy, intertwined by a cosmic force and destined to influence each other?

Time has been called “ a final frontier” as something, that  we need to  conquer …suggesting,  it’s our “master”…Question remains…can time exist beyond our perception ? Maybe, we are the ultimate creators and “modulators”  of it ?  Is our perception the window to the world or the prison of the subjective reality?

Possibly…our perception of reality, through our senses and mind is our final frontier…? Who knows? Many question…no final answers…

I am trying to convince myself, that its better this way… to live, enjoying  the “matrix of magic” ...full of scents, colors, sounds; touch…taste, thoughts and emotions…believing, that ultimately it is real to us….because we feel it…

The  old photograph from the past …showing only shades of grey , black and white is as close to reality as full colored high definition picture… All in perspective, take your pick…The monochromatic scheme magnetize and brings to our attention all important elements…emotions…

The picture is showcasing a past event in the capsule of time...  The  ten year old girl is looking back at me ....slightly smiling, filling shy, but exhilarated by that moment…happy and cheerful to be right here… She feels real to me, when I feel her emotions, withstanding the mark of time… imprinted in my world through the feeling of understanding. Could we be the similar imprints to the world around us?  Is our energy writing the script by making waves, vibrating and resonating forever in the surrounding space? Is our planet Earth the “little time capsule” recording and remembering …picture of the past present and the future?  As above so below…just wondering….

The Little Prince

"People where you live," the little prince said, "grow five thousand roses in one garden... yet they don't find what they're looking for..."

"They don't find it," I answered.

"And yet what they're looking for could be found in a single rose, or a little water..."

"Of course," I answered.

And the little prince added, "But eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart."
