Life as it is 124th Day 05-04

Taking a big breath and letting the world unfold without preconceived expectation is the easiest and most difficult at the same time. “I want” has to change to ”I let …”; the goal takes on a broader sense, allowing the unknown; stability and  control is changed to anything possible …What do we get in return…? We learn flexibility, having an open mind, sense of adventure with road less traveled, appreciation of living in the moment, connection with inner- intuitive self…What do we lose? Probably, the characteristics of type A personality, feeling of control and stability…As far as type A….our heart will love us for that…less stress and the other two are just an illusion…

One of my kids, when he was little… would save certain items to remind him of people or experiences…for example at the Christmas time, the colorful bow attached to the small piece of wrapping paper would find its way to the bottom of his drawer…Well, we moved few times…and some things just didn’t make it from one home to another…he also grew and learned not to “remember”this way…. Now, he is on opposite spectrum… no pictures even …just mental memories …I suppose, we all have to learn to let go of a lot of “things” we don’t need or find useful anymore… It’s much more difficult when “things “are not things, but people …friends… letting go feels sad and final… For a long time, I’ve had this image in my head, which represented the idea of living….I imagined being a traveler…a tourist in the big city, walking among different streets … passing by the buildings, shops, parks, people… slowing down for a moment then going faster…meeting people, making friends … saying goodbyes… traveling in the same direction and then parting…everything in the constant motion and change …as a basic principle of travelling…until the destination is reached… To see and accept my life that way was a little easier, as a natural continuation of hellos and goodbyes…I suppose the very act of living requires certain courage….

Trusting yourself paired with courage should be practiced every day…some of us feel it and understand very well, for others it will take conscious effort to act from that perspective. Finding the quiet inner guide ( soul) , asking a question and letting the answer unfold will require some “work”…meditation, prayer are very good mediums for it …and also anything that makes us to be centered and intuitive. I believe we all can learn courage…because it’s already in all of us…waiting to burst free…When we quiet our demanding and judgmental voice, which doesn’t allow failures…courage will take its place, making us feel free …to try … Giving it all and failing at something is so much better than always playing it safe…How can you get to know yourself unless you stretch your expectations…and vision of who you are. Courage is priceless…not because it’s bold, powerful or heroic…but because it exists despite the fear… Wishing everyone to find courage to live your life in series of unfolding events, paving the way for its own path, trusting the intuition and embracing the constant change.

The Little Prince

"People where you live," the little prince said, "grow five thousand roses in one garden... yet they don't find what they're looking for..."

"They don't find it," I answered.

"And yet what they're looking for could be found in a single rose, or a little water..."

"Of course," I answered.

And the little prince added, "But eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart."
