Lesson 98th Day 04-08

by Administrator 8. April 2011 05:29

Very recently, I was reminded of a need to leap into the unknown once in a while…To take a chance against logic and all odds…and to fail…not in pursuing the endeavor but in the final outcome… Other words not winning in the “real” life …but more in the personal space of stepping out of the box of planned and predictable actions.  There was something so liberating to see, that world doesn’t end with your fiasco… surprisingly… still turns around…and you continue to breathe, as if nothing happened. To allow yourself to fail at something without the blaming game, guilt or seriously hurt self esteem will help to take more chances….maybe paths less traveled…roads less predictable … Fear of failure is actually much greater than failure itself… The lessons learned this way are very valuable…introducing the “unknown “, daring factor to our life equation…  I was expecting to have very humbling experience…putting myself at the mercy of someone else judgment…wondering few times if my ego can ‘survive” to be so bad at something I love so much…Well it was dancing…. Wanted to “ run” away…didn’t…and I am proud of that…but that’s not what was the most important in that little ‘experiment”…The surprise lesson came from my friends…who showed up …to support “my crazy project”… Now I  know, it was the best part of that evening…. to have people around, who are just nice and sweet …even, when you are making a complete idiot of yourself…I want to thank them for coming….and making me realize that the “ glory” days are great to share with your friends…but  …. days, when you are “down on the floor “ are not too bad too…as long as you have a great company ….

The Little Prince

"People where you live," the little prince said, "grow five thousand roses in one garden... yet they don't find what they're looking for..."

"They don't find it," I answered.

"And yet what they're looking for could be found in a single rose, or a little water..."

"Of course," I answered.

And the little prince added, "But eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart."
