To Be Aware 11th Day

by Administrator 11. January 2011 03:21

It’s important to be aware of the life around you...

To be familiar with the latest news, information on the weather ( yes…J that too), stock market ( for some)… scientific achievements, performing arts,  local events…….and many, many more.

After all, we humans are not the island …but a part of the living society…We are all influenced by external factors, even though, some don’t touch us  “personally”. There is a lots of different people and groups sharing information about  everything,  from A to Z and in between J

The growth of the  internet and social networking made it easier, more accessible and faster to communicate. There is a real abundance of information… everybody knows that from the experience… Try to “Google” something and you are provided with so much data about the subject, that you need good analytical skills, to decide what to choose.

We are bombarded with lots of different stories, ideas, points of view …  On one hand its great …because we can share easily,  learn much faster, be receptive  to new concepts  …but on the other hand, it  brings making an intelligent choice to the form of an art…by the shear amount of data. What is the  most important for us, most useful, helping us to learn, understand and grow…and what is, that makes us to be in doubt , fear, depressed or  feel helpless.

As I said I don’t want to close my eyes to the world around me or pretend nothing bad ever happens. I just want to have a chance to dream and hope as much as I feel sad and disturbed by some events and actions…It has to be a  balance.

I’ve started “face booking", I believe a little over a year ago and  to my surprise I came to like it more and more..despite “the news” and problems and some issues.

Never thought of myself as a very active in social circle, guilty in the past of failing to return calls from my friends or  simply not being able to keep in touch and up to date. Few of my friends noticed how “active “ I am …wondering why…J

I believe its not only the fact pertaining to comfort and easiness with the connection but also to the possibility of  almost limitless sharing and learning …through other living, real people …. just like you and me.

It’s a “pulse of the Universe”, melting pot of differences, full of variety . I have met some wonderful people aka friends on facebook, realizing that somewhere there on the other side of the world, is the person formulating the same thoughts, expressing similar feelings, maybe searching for the same answers.

Have been introduced through my friends to a lot of new ideas,  shown some great art,  listen to the music “out of my box” and was able to express my thoughts and feeling in the real world.

Because its real to me when you are “living” on the pages through the choices, you make in bringing certain information to share, through expressing your likes and dislikes, favorites, sharing the art which speaks to your soul..being the voice of your beliefs and passions, even not popular one… It takes some courage to show your true colors and that’s why it feels to me “more real” then many formal social gatherings….following preconceived notion of proper and acceptable behavior.

There are some sites, I choose to read first, everyday ( except the ones of  my close friends J). One of them is “Positively Positive”, other “Inner Healers” , Gregg Braden….. and few more…the reason for it is, because they bring message of hope, positivity in life, love, importance of friendship, art of forgiving, spiritual growth, they see the future, where diversity and similarity don’t contradict one another…they make me stronger in  knowing there are people feeling and thinking that way.

Being stronger to acknowledge other news, not easy understandable…the one, which makes us shake our heads in disbelief… So, choice is there ...just like in the “real life”,what to see,  listen to, study, like, accept or deny… “choose wisely"…as one wizard said and make it your choice.

The Little Prince

"People where you live," the little prince said, "grow five thousand roses in one garden... yet they don't find what they're looking for..."

"They don't find it," I answered.

"And yet what they're looking for could be found in a single rose, or a little water..."

"Of course," I answered.

And the little prince added, "But eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart."
