Just Happiness 112th Day 04-22

I love books…with variety of different subjects, ideas promising the new worlds…My eyes begin to glisten and the mystery of undiscovered takes me on the exciting adventure. The internet sites are very convenient way to research and purchase books but, I still prefer visiting the bookstores…Touching the pages, wondering and walking through the aisles, packed with books written to share stories, views or information … Every time I pass the section on the self help, I am amazed at not only variety or sheer number of books, but also the assured, knowing tone of the language. I suppose it’s understandable …you must believe “what you preach” otherwise no one will listen… Nevertheless, we all know there isn’t any universal way proving to be correct for everyone. Sharing the same goal is not equal with obtaining it by the same means. We, humans are alike but also different in the way how we feel or understand life.

It seems to me, there is constantly growing number of publication on happiness …” our final frontier” to master (?)…Such an elusive idea, described and experienced by many…lived by few... There are quite few quotes on the subject of happiness …here are few of my favorites:

”Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed .Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude” Dennis Waitley.

“Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed “Storm Jameson.”

To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do this every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day.  Number two is think. You should spend some time in though. And number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that’s a full day. That’s a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week; you are going to have something special.”Jim Valvano

“Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.”

"If what Proust says is true, that happiness is the absence of fever, and then I will never know happiness. For I am possessed by a fever for knowledge, experience, and creation."  Anais Nin

I think of myself as a happy person or maybe just lucky in simplicity of expectations…finding reasons to feel grateful with “smallest” things…  Nature has been always a very important companion throughout my life…full of scents, sounds, colors and shapes, hope for new beginnings, life on the quest to create, energy to feel alive and peaceful… I believe we are part of it and it is necessary to experience it every day, feel connected to the world around.

Not only connect with the nature but people as well…form friendships ,help each other, share an ideas, laughs, time…Keep on finding the fire within…something that makes you want to jump out of the bed each morning…and like a little child be filled with an excitement and joy for whatever you chose to do…

Love…and have your heart open…with no fear or safe mode…Be adventurous and courageous…it’s such an wonderful feeling…of being present in the moment …Take care of your inner child…play is highly underrated in our society…It brings creativity and joy through sense of truth and freedom.

Search for spiritual, religious answers …living as much on the inside as on the outside. Remember to take care of your physical body and mental, emotional, spiritual growth …it all complements one another. Most importantly find your own way “to travel”…something which makes sense to you, makes you happy and content, always in awe of another day…or moment… Something that you really care about…science, art, family... certain cause…. that touches you deeply. There are no rights or wrong answers… just your own, unique approach…

Happiness is more of the lifelong friend, loyal companion standing by you through the good or bad times… always ready to extend its helping hand, not a wild party full of exhilaration... It’s our gift, when we are born to have this spark of happiness inside of us…ready to vibrate and come to life. Need to reach for it and let it grow …its patiently waiting for your permission….just say yes…

The Little Prince

"People where you live," the little prince said, "grow five thousand roses in one garden... yet they don't find what they're looking for..."

"They don't find it," I answered.

"And yet what they're looking for could be found in a single rose, or a little water..."

"Of course," I answered.

And the little prince added, "But eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart."
